Egos forgotten

deeds of derring-do

to boogie or to ballet

moments of perception

cautious as time returns

the wait is without end

    1. Thank you, Rory, and thanks for asking if I am okay. To make a long story short, we have been dealing with a leak in one of our bathrooms since Dec. 24, when we had the freeze causing frozen sprinkler pipes. This was reported to the apartment management and they came out to assess the situation. Finally, about 2 weeks ago they sent a plumber and he cut 3 large holes in the wall to find the source of the leak.

In the meantime, our community was taken over by a new management team and I think our need for help got lost in the shuffle. Finally, someone came out yesterday and now they are sending another plumber. We are washing 3 loads of towels a day, used to absorb the water. So there you go and aren’t you glad you asked? 🙂

Then there’s the issue with my blog and broken links. I’ll save that for another time.

      1. Well l am sorry to hear of this plight l know how frustrating these moments can be all too well Eugenia. As to the blog, seems to be the time of the year with glitches as well. I keep being unfollowed from people, l use as l think l have said an internal directory of my own to get to bloggers, but l have noticed absences and when l go and visit using the Reader, l discover the unfollowings.

        1. I don’t pay much attention to my following, though I feel many are bots. I think many get overwhelmed trying to follow too many blogs. With that said, I enjoy your blog, which I try to get to daily.

I ran a broken link checker on both of my blogs and there were 2 on Ongoing Whimsy and 2500+ on Moonwashed. I was shocked and wondered why so many other than what was expected. I noticed over 500 broken links in one category so I moved all posts from that category into another. Ran the broken link checker again and viola! I also sifted through my 3,000 + comments and deleted every comment that didn’t belong to a blog. Now, I am down to 20 or so broken links because of bloggers that responded to my prompt but no longer have a blog. Sigh.

          Have a great day, Rory!

        2. Broken links are in the wrap-ups where I post the contributors in Mr. Linky and/or when I used to list them. Two of contributors closed down their blogs which the links to their blogs is now broken and creates a 404 error. Many were in the comments for example your Guy blog no longer exists so the link to your comment is broken. There will always be broken links but in my case I had tons of 404 errors. It’s an interesting process and I learned a lot. Here’s the link if you want to try it.

        3. Wow, l have just checked my entire blog and this was the result

          DONE : reached page limit
Processed 3000 web pages, found 16 broken links

Have fixed all the ones l can fix, some l can’t because they are picking up comments from somewhere that were comments from posts deleted.
